Standard add-on module: Featured Products

It's a good sales practice to draw customers' attention to some particular products by putting them on the front counter for promotional purposes. Featured Product module is designed for this very purpose. You can define the featured products for the front page of your store and for the product categories. Featured products are displayed in a special showcase in the centre. It gives you better control over the customer's attention and therefore helps to provoke customer's interest.

  • Storefront/Featured products - The Featured products module enables featured product list in storefront. Featured products (which may be the products you would like to emphasize) can be added from any category you like and help you motivate your customers to continue shopping. The Featured products list will be shown to the customers when they browse through the categories. The featured products may be arranged as a List, which helps your customers get most of the product information.

    Your customers will see the products thumbnails, if you select to organize Featured products as Icons. The wished product can be ordered in no time by clicking on the Buy now button.

  • Administration back-end/Adding featured products - The Add featured products section on the Manage categories page allows you to add featured products. Find a product you would like to add to the Featured product list using the Search form.

  • Administration back-end/Configuration - The Module Featured Products settings page provides you with two different ways of organizing the Featured products list. You can select what your featured products will look like. It can either be a separate section with the product thumbnails if you select Icons or the list of the products with the thumbnails and some description if you select List in Featured products look&feel drop-down box.

Standard add-on module: Multi-Categories

Product categories tree is a convenient way to organize your products. By default eCommerce allows you to place a product in one product category. However, sometimes it is necessary to place the same product in several different categories. With Multi-Categories add-on for eCommerce you can place one product to an unlimited number of categories. For example if one of your products fits several different categories or if you need to organize your products by several different criteria (e.g. by product type, by manufacturer, by alphabet etc.) you can just create an appropriate product categories tree and place your products in the necessary categories.

  • Storefront - The Multi Categories module is a convenient way to arrange your products in several categories if you need to organize them by different criteria (e.g. by product type, by manufacturer, by alphabet etc.). Once the multi-categories feature is enabled, the products, added to different categories, appear at the customer front end and make it easier for your customers to actively participate in the shopping process.

  • Administration back-end/Adding products - One great advantage of the use of multi-categories feature is that it allows to stimulate your customers to greater purchases by providing quick links to the products from other categories. All you have to do to assign a product to multi-categories is select the necessary categories from the list, which appears on the Edit product page.

  • Administration back-end/Configuration - Use Modules section in the Settings menu to activate the MultiCategories module and let your customers get the better of it.

Standard add-on module: Showcase Organizer

This add-on is for customizing the layout of your virtual showcase by placing your products in various patterns. You can organize your list of products in different ways as if you were laying out your merchandize on your regular counter. Three predefined layout schemas are available: list, icons and table. You can also organize your products in 1-5 columns and configure whether to show the product description and price in the product list or save it for product details page.

  • Storefront - The Showcase Organizer module is aimed at arranging your product list appearance. It is a very simple, yet powerful way to organize your list of products as if you were laying out your merchandize on your regular counter.

    The List layout helps you to place the product information at a comfortable viewing and reaching height. Not only is the List organization easy for your customers to read, it is clean and crisp and offers a simple design look for your pages.

    Use Icons to show your customers several products at one time. It is a quick way to get a brief overview of all the products in a category.

    The advantage of the Table organization of the product list is that the customers can at once grasp the price of the necessary product and order it in no time. Tables are an extremely useful way of conveying information in very little space, and in a way that attracts user attention.
     

  • Administration back-end/Configuration - The Module Showcase Organizer settings page provides all necessary means for organizing your list of products in different ways. You can arrange your products in 1-5 columns and configure whether to show the product description and price in the product list or save it for product details page.

    Use the Product list look& feel drop-down box to select an appropriate layout scheme (List, Icons or Table); To organize the products in columns select 1 to 5 in the Columns number field; To show your customers the product description or/and the product price select the Show product Show product description field or/and the Show product price field correspondingly.

Standard add-on module: Best Sellers

This add-on generates the list of the best selling products based on the history of purchases informing customers about the most popular products and, as a result, stimulates chained sales. Bestsellers list is context dependent and is generated for the category that a customer is browsing. The size of bestsellers list and its location can be configured from the eCommerce settings menu.

  • Storefront/Bestsellers list - The Bestsellers module enables the bestsellers list in storefront. The statistics, based on the orders history, informs the customers about the most popular products and, as a result, stimulates chained sales. Your customers will appreciate the authenticity of the real efficiency statistics of your on-line store.

    The Bestsellers list appears either in the menu column or at the bottom of the Catalog page at the customer front-end. Clicking on the product name in the bestsellers list allows you to see the products details, its price, and description. You can also add this product to your cart from the product details page.

  • Storefront/Product category bestsellers - The Bestsellers list is context-dependent and is generated for the category that a customer is browsing.

  • Administration back-end/Bestsellers statistics - The Bestsellers module allows the administrator to see the statistics on the best selling products for different time periods (Today, This week, This month).

  • Administration back-end/Configuration - The size of the bestsellers list and its location can be configured from the eCommerce browsing. The Bestsellers module configuration page is used to adjust the settings specific for the module. You can:

    • Specify the number of products in the Bestsellers list.

    • Let your customers see the best selling products' images.

    • Show bestsellers list in the menu column in storefront.

Commercial add-on module: Gift Certificates

It is always a dilemma to choose the right present that is why many online customers prefer to leave the final choice up to the addressee. Gift certificate is a way to show care and attention while keeping everyone satisfied. Gift certificate add-on allows customers to purchase gift certificate for a certain sum that later can be used for purchasing goods from this store. When the addressee receives gift certificate he/she can visit the shop anytime to redeem it. Gift certificate can be redeemed partially or combined with other payment methods if gift certificate amount is not sufficient for the purchase.

The customers can send their gift certificates as an e-card or as a postcard. Several sample e-cards for most common events are bundled with this add-on however a shop owner can create his own e-cards.

  • Storefront/Ordering gift certificates - To order a Gift Certificate, customers need to complete a simple form. The form allows a customer to specify who the GC is meant for, to enter the GC amount (the sum of money for which the GC should be issued), to add a message that will be enclosed with the Certificate and to choose how the GC should be delivered to the recipient.

    Gift Certificates can be sent via E-mail or (if the store admin enables this option) via Postal mail. If the customer chooses the E-mail delivery method, the GC will be sent in the form of an e-Card. The Select e-Card button allows the customer to choose the card design.

    Creating an e-Card, the customer can select the design that best suits his needs.

    In addition to the main e-Card image, the customer can choose a border pattern, as well as provide the forms of address which should be used in the greeting and farewell sections of the card.

    The customer can preview the card he has created. If necessary, he can go back to e-Card editing and re-adjust any e-Card settings. As soon as the customer is satisfied with the result, the GC can be added to the shopping cart.

    A GC is added to the customer's shopping cart as an ordinary product. Now, all the customer has to do is go to Checkout and place the order. The GC will be sent to the addressee as soon as the GC is activated by the store admin.

  • Storefront/Redeem gift certificate - To redeem a gift certificate, the customer should select a 'Gift certificate' option in the payment methods menu.  The eight-character Gift Certificate code must be entered into a special field at the last stage of Checkout.

  • Storefront/Gift certificate verification - Only Active Gift certificates can be used to pay for orders. GC owners can use Gift certificates verification service to check on the current status and amount of their GCs

  • Administration back-end/Managing gift certificates - The store admin manages Gift Certificates created by customers via the 'Gift certificates' section of the admin interface. This section allows the admin to have all the information about the GCs in the store close at hand: for each GC the admin can see its eight-character identification code, the GC current status, the sum for which the GC was originally issued, the sum remaining on the GC currently, and the date when the GC was added. Gift Certificates' statuses can be updated directly in the Gift Certificates list. The GCs which are no longer needed can be deleted either separately or as a group.  Administrator can quickly view the details of any GC created at his store.  If necessary, the admin can add new GCs or edit the certificates added by customers.

  • Administration back-end/Managing e-Cards - 'Gift certificate e-Cards' section allows the store admin to manage e-Cards used for Gift certificates. You will find several e-Cards bundled with the module - if you want, you can use them at your store. In addition to these ready-for-use e-Cards, you can create a practically unlimited number of e-Cards of your own. You can define the order in which your e-Cards should be displayed on the customer front-end and enable/disable e-Cards. Any e-Cards can be edited or deleted.  Based on templates, e-Cards are fully editable. You can easily change the images used by your e-Cards and the thumbnail pictures of the cards in the customer zone. For more substantial changes of the cards' contents and layout, eCommerce template editor can be used. You can either edit the templates of the existing e-Cards or create templates of your own.

  • Administration back-end/Configuration - The module configuration settings allow you to define whether you want to send GCs by mail or not, to set the allowable GC amount range, to specify the period during which purchased GCs will be valid and to enter the shipping cost for GCs

Commercial add-on module: Wholesale Accounts

This add-on was designed to give storeowners the ability to define flexible pricing/discount schemas for their merchandize and provide special pricing or access policies for customers with different membership levels. The functionality of this add-on is useful for wholesale trading companies, distributors, spare parts stores or any online store with vast product catalog or stores with average orders containing more than 2-3 items.

Administration back-end & Storefront/Wholesale prices - Wholesale Trading module allows you to set wholesale prices for any products in your store and make them available either to all the customers or to some privileged customer groups. You can define multiple levels of wholesale prices which will be applied depending on the quantity of products being purchased and on the membership of the customer who orders them

Wholesale prices appear on the customer front-end of your store in the 'Wholesale pricing' section of the product details page. A customer needs to be logged in as a privileged membership level user to be able to see the wholesale prices defined for his membership group

Administration back-end & Storefront/Bulk shopping - If you use LC membership levels to sort your customers by the type of privileges they exercise when using your store, you will certainly appreciate the new price list functionality allowing you to print out configurable price lists with information about wholesale product prices for different membership levels. You can select product categories which you would like to be included into a price list and create simple price lists for separate membership groups as well as composite price lists for several membership groups of your choice or all the membership groups defined for your store.

Wholesale Trading module 'Bulk shopping' feature enables your customers to simultaneously add to the shopping cart multiple products from one category. In categories for which bulk shopping is enabled, all available product variants are listed in a table. Customers do not have to open the product details page of each product they want to buy separately: they can select the product variants they want to add to the shopping cart and specify their quantity directly in the products table - and then add them to the shopping cart in bulk.

Administration back-end & Storefront/Global discounts - The module provides another powerful means for making your store more attractive to customers: global discounts. It is a kind of discount that can be applied to the price of all the products included into an order irrespective of the membership level of the customer who ordered them - if the order subtotal exceeds a certain amount. Global discounts may be absolute or percent.

The sum of the global discount is calculated automatically and is displayed to your customers on a separate line in the shopping cart.

Administration back-end & Storefront / Product access policies - The module allows you to set product access permissions: you can define what membership group(s) will be able to see a product on the storefront, to view its price and to order the product.

According to the product access settings, if a customer is allowed to see both the product and its price and has permissions to order the product, the product details page demonstrated to this customer includes product price and Add to cart button

For a customer from a membership group, which is allowed to view the product and its price but does not have permissions to buy the product, there is no Add to cart button on the product details page, so the customer is denied access to checkout.

If a customer belongs to a membership group that is allowed to see a product but is denied access to the product price, again, there is no Add to cart button, and the customer is shown a special message in the place where the price would be expected to appear (E.g. 'Call 555-555-5555 for details'). The price message can be defined by the store admin on the module configuration page.

Storefront / Product options - If the products sold at your store have options, you can enable your customers to select the option combinations they need in a more convenient way than using select boxes - that is in the form of a table. When enabled, 'Options' table displays all the possible product variants of the product being viewed (product options combinations - for example, 'Size: S + Color: Red'), the price of each variant (if the customer viewing the table belongs to a membership group which is allowed to see the price) and the quantity in stock of each of the listed variants (if Inventory Tracking module is used).

You can define the maximum number of product variants which can be shown in the 'Options' table. If the number of variants of some product exceeds this number, the options for this product are displayed to customers as usual - in select boxes.

Administration back-end & Storefront / Product options - If needed, you can set restrictions as to the quantity of products which can be purchased by a customer (purchase limit). For any product you can specify the minimum and/or the maximum number of product items which a customer is allowed to put into his shopping cart at a time.

If a customer attempts to order a quantity of a product that does not fit into the range specified in the purchase limit settings of this product, the customer is shown a message, explaining to him the reasons why the chosen product cannot be added to his shopping cart.

Administration back-end / Moderated sign-up for wholesale membership - Membership levels can be used to define the extent of privileges different kinds of customers can get using your store. The privileges may include the ability to purchase products at wholesale prices, as well as access to exclusive categories and products. Access to different kinds of privileges can be granted to customers on a commercial basis. Practically, your customers can sign up for a membership at the time of registration and get access to the advantages of this membership as soon as they are approved for it by the admin. The store owner can decide whether membership should be paid or free.

Administration back-end / Configuration - The Wholesale Trading module configuration page provides a flexible way to adjust the settings specific for the module. You can:

  • Set up a message that will be shown in the place of a product price to customers who, for some reason, are not allowed to view the price.

  • Specify the maximum number of lines which can appear in the 'Options' table on the product details page in the customer zone.

  • Add fields to the customer registration form into which your wholesale customers will be supposed to enter their Sales Permit/Tax ID, VAT registration number, or GST and PST registration numbers.

  • Select categories for bulk shopping.

  • Add discounts that will be applied globally to all the products included into an order if the order subtotal exceeds a certain limit.
